All our enquiries and record lists share the same screens and the same functionality for consistency purposes. For more information on the layout and functionality of the screen, please refer to the Sales Ledger Transactions Enquiry article.
The Aged Debt Enquiry shows the current customer aged analysis and the ageing periods reflect your selection in ageing method in system options.
You may have chosen to age your debtors balance by months or a different breakdown of days:
Up to 30 Days
31 - 61 Days
61 - 90 Days
91 - 120 Days
121 - 180 Days
Over 180 Days
Or
This Month
Last Month
Two Months Ago
Three Months Ago
Four Months Ago
Over Five Months Ago
Setting up the ageing method is found in the System module which is security profile permission driven.
Set up ageing method
Click System then click Options.
Click System Options then click Edit.
On the Options tab, find the Ledger section.
From the drop-down list for Sales Ledger, select the necessary ageing method.
Click Save.
The displayed values are automatically updated when you open the Aged Debt Enquiry.
Transactions appear on the aged debt report, if they were entered in or before the current ledger period and they still have an outstanding value.
You can set a transaction on dispute by selecting the checkbox against the transaction on the On Dispute column and selecting a query reason which is not compulsory.
To remove the dispute flag, click on the selected checkbox against a disputed transaction. If the on-dispute column is not displayed as a default, you can add it through the Configure Columns option under the cog icon.
Access a customer's aged debt directly from the customer
Click Debtors then click Customers.
Note: All customers are displayed. You can narrow down you search using advanced filters. You can also search on the columns directly by pointing the mouse to the name of the column and click on the icon and choose from the available filter list, then click OK.
Select the checkbox next to a customer you wish to view the transactions for.
Note: The Action Panel opens from the right-hand side of the screen.
To access the selected customer's aged transactions, click the Aged Debt card.
Note: When you access the enquiry directly from a customer record, the list of transactions are filtered based on the selected customer. For more information please refer to remove filters. To be able to use the account name search, you must remove the current customer code filter from the advanced filter panel.
Access aged debt enquiry directly from the navigation menu
Click Debtors then Enquiries then click Aged Debt.
Note: The Aged Debt screen opens listing every aged transaction for all customers on your sales ledger. You can narrow down you search using advanced filters. You can also search on the columns directly by pointing the mouse to the name of the column and click on the icon and choose from the available filter list, then click OK.
