Explanation of the Permissions tab on a profile
The Permissions Tab is where you set what the profile can do and it is set up to mirror the Navigation menu on the left-hand side in Financials; however, you can also choose to show as alphabetical. To deny people access to areas, simply go into edit mode, deselect the checkbox click Save.
Add users to profiles
Click System then Security then click Users.
Select the user and click on the Edit button at the top of the screen.
Change the Security Profile field by clicking the Magnifying glass and selecting the Profile you want them to use.
βNote: After changing a user's profile it is advisable that they close the Financials tab for that dataset and reopen it via the access button to refresh the settings.
