Click System, then click Security, then click Profiles.
In the Ribbon, there are options to New (create), Edit and Duplicate existing profiles.
Select the checkbox in front of the profile you wish to update.
Click Edit at the top of the toolbar to open the profile in edit mode.

Explanation of the Permissions tab on a profile
The Permissions Tab is where you set what the profile can do and it is set up to mirror the Navigation menu on the left-hand side in Financials; however, you can also choose to show as alphabetical. To deny people access to areas, simply go into edit mode, deselect the checkbox click Save.
Add users to profiles
Click System, then click Security, then click Users.
Select the user and click Edit at the top of the screen.
Change the Security Profile field by clicking the magnifying glass and selecting the required profile. After changing, close the Financials tab and reopen it via the Access button to refresh the settings.
