Next Generation - Set up the Ageing Method for credit control and what they mean Description

You can select between two ageing type, days or months for your purchase and sales ledger ageing method.
To set the preferred option for your business, you must have access to the System Module which is security profile permission driven.

Ageing by month displays as the following on the Chase Debtors screen:

  • This Month

  • Last Month

  • Two Months Ago

  • Three Months Ago

  • Four Months Ago

  • Over Five Months Ago

Ageing by days displays as the following on the Chase Debtors screen:

  • Up to 30 Days

  • 31 - 61 Days

  • 61 - 90 Days

  • 91 - 120 Days

  • 121 - 180 Days

  • Over 180 Days

Each of the above option will show debt for customers in accordance with their age.

Set up the Ageing Method:

You must have access to the System Module and within there to System Options.

  1. Click System then Options and then click System Options.

  2. Click Edit at the top of the screen.

  3. Scroll to the Ledger section and select either Months or Days as the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger Ageing Method.

  4. Click Save.
