The Bulk Receipts screen uses the same screen that we use for our record lists and enquiries. For more general information on the functionality of the screen, follow our article on enquiry screens explained.
β
As the Bulk Receipts screen is also a processing screen, there are a few differences which are listed below:
There is no Action Panel.
There is a Process button at the bottom of the Bulk Receipts screen.
Setting a transaction on dispute removes the processing checkbox from in front of the transaction.
The Multiple Due Dates are indicated on the grid with a hyperlink rather than being on the action panel.
There is a Receipt Date on the Bulk Receipt screen and this date pulls through to the Bulk Receipts processing screen.
Note: Multiple Due Dates are subscription driven, so you might not have this enabled on your database.

The Bulk Receipts grid
You can't process a negative value receipt. You receive a validation message if you try to do so. When you select an invoice and a receipt where the invoice value is greater than the receipt value, the bulk receipt posts for the difference between the two values.
β
When the receipt value is greater than the invoice value, a validation message displays.
The receipt date defaults to the current system date, and you can change this.
With the Select All checkbox you can select all the transactions at the same time.
Note: You can create or apply a saved filter so you only see the relevant transactions.
The receipt balance at the bottom of the screen updates as you select transactions in the grid.
The outstanding balance is the total balance of all the transactions displayed in the grid in the home or database's currency.
Note: When you change the currency in the Advanced Filter panel, the outstanding balance calculates in the selected currency.
You can change the allocated value on the grid by double clicking in the allocated value field for partial payments.
When you're done with the transaction selection, click the Process button to access the processing screen.
When Multiple Due Dates is set up on your database, you see the number of postings indicator in the MDD column. You can remove this column if you don't use it. For more information please refer to Configure Columns. This will only be available if you have the subscription for Multiple Due dates in your database.
Note: Click on the number indicator to open up the Multiple Due Dates screen to check for more details.
