Stock movements provide you with a way to record your inventory changes such as stock adjustments, opening balances, write-offs, and direct purchases or sales without creating full order documents.
Access the stock movement screen directly from a stock record
Click Stock then click Stock Records.
Note: All stock records are displayed. You can narrow down your search by using the advanced filters. You can also search on the columns directly by pointing the mouse to the name of the column and click on theicon and choose from the available filter list, then click OK.
In the Stock Code column, click the hyperlink, the underlined text.
Note: The Action Panel automatically opens from the right-hand-side of the screen. You can close the panel by clicking on the arrowicon on the right-hand side middle of the screen.
On the Action Panel on the Actions tab, click on Stock Movement.
The Stock Movement transaction screen displays with your selected stock prepopulated in the Stock Movement Details section.
Access the stock movement screen from the navigator
Click Stock then Transactions and then click Stock Movements.
Note: The Stock Movement transaction screen is displayed. The default adjustment type is Adjustment. You can change this by clicking on the drop-down arrow and selecting from the list.

Enter a stock movement transaction
Follow the steps above to open the Stock Movement screen, then follow the steps below:
Select the relevant Adjustment Type that you wish to work with.
The Reference field is compulsory and must be completed before you can save your transaction.
You can add any comments in the Comments field and change the Start Date should you need to.
In the Stock Movement Details section, enter your stock code, or click into the Stock Code field, select from the presented list or click on the Show More option to gain access to more records and advanced searches.
The Movement Type field defaults to In and you can change it to Out by clicking on the drop-down arrow or typing it in the field.
Enter your quantity, a project and cost centre if relevant.
Click Save.
Note: When selecting a sub analysis type stock record, you must also specify which Sub Analysis record the movement relates to in the Stock Movement Details section.
