Access Financials will allow a user to post into any open period, providing they have access to it. Access to open periods is managed via Future Period Posting Permissions in the Security area of System.
Access Financials will take the transaction date and then try to post it to the period to which it relates, or the nearest open period to which the user has access. Factors that may prevent posting to this period are:
The period is closed.
The date is beyond the end of the next financial year.
The user does not have sufficient permission to post this far ahead.
The user does not have sufficient permissions to post prior to the current Working Period.
