It is possible to unallocate allocated transactions when you need to allocate to different transactions or when you have made a mistake during the original allocation.
β
We recommend that you allocate any unallocated transactions as soon as possible to ensure that your Aged Credit report is always up to date.
β
The reverse allocation is done on the same screen as the Allocation screen and is Security Profile driven so you will have to have the correct permissions set up.
β
Example of unallocating an allocated transaction:
Click on Creditors then click Allocations.
Toggle the button at the top of the screen to Reverse Allocation.
Locate a supplier on the Advanced Filter panel, if you're unsure of the code, you can click the drop-down arrow and select Show More which displays several more records and offers you to search the code and name of the supplier you want to use for the reverse allocation.
βNote: You can also add extra filter criteria to narrow down the transactions further.Select the checkboxes for the transactions that you want to unallocate and click Process.
If necessary update any fields on the Update Allocations screen then click Save.
Note: If the transaction that you are unallocating had a rounding difference or an exchange difference, these will also be reversed with a credit or debit adjustment and you can look for this in the Purchase Ledger Enquiry for the supplier you did the reverse allocation for.
