Next Generation - Access the Action Panel from Cash Book

You can access different areas of the system directly from a cash or bank type account in the Cash Book option of the Financials Module.

To open the Action Panel from

  1. Click Financials then click Cash Book.

    • Note: All cash and bank type accounts are displayed. You can narrow down your search by using the advanced filters. You can also search on the columns directly by pointing the mouse to the name of the column and click on the icon and choose from the available filter list, then click OK.

  2. Select the checkbox for the record you wish to work with.

    • Note: The Action Panel automatically opens from the right-hand side of the screen which gives you access to multiple tabs and action cards.

Note: The Action Panel is only available when you select a single record. All action cards are security profile permission driven, so you might not have access to all of the listed areas listed below.

The actions on the Action Panel are:

Enquiries section

  • You can access all actual or posted transactions for the selected account as well as view all batched transactions.

Cash Book section

Sales Ledger section

Purchase Ledger section

Insert section

Account Code section

  • You can access the following options

    • Change Code - allows you to change the code of your selected account.

    • Merge Code - allows you to merge 2 accounts together.

View section

  • You can access the following options which will open up different transactions

    • View Projects takes you to the Project Records screen.

    • View Dashboard takes you to your Dashboard.

    • View Account Record opens the Nominal Account in edit mode.

The Bank Rec Tab allows the import or download of a Bank Statement, View Statements, Clear Statement Import Mapping and Reset Bank Feed Link.
