After enabling INXL using AOI Registration, the INXL tab should appear in Excel. Before any INXL functionality can be used, a data connection must be established. This can be done by following the steps below:
Open Excel.
Click the ACCESS INXL tab.
Click Manage Data Connections. A new window appears.
In the Database Name column, use the drop-down and select the database.
Note: The databases available on the drop-down relate to the data connections existing in AOI Administrator for the particular user.Enter a code and a name for this connection. These can be any values, E.g. Code = 1, Name = 1.
Note: The Code and the Name need to be more carefully added if multiple databases are being used.In the Offline/Connected column, click the cell to change the icon to be a live connection to the database or leave the cell to allow Offline data.
Leave the View options column as Auto.
Click OK. The data connection will be saved and the icons in the main ribbon will become active.
