Exporting the Chart of Accounts

To download or export a full Chart of Accounts list, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Financials → Reports → Accounts → Nominal Accounts List.

  2. Run the report to generate the full Chart of Accounts.

  3. Export the report to your preferred format, such as Excel or PDF, for further use.

Troubleshooting Inactive Nominal Codes

If a nominal code appears in the Chart of Accounts but returns an error like "code doesn’t exist" when used in journals or purchase ledger imports, it may be inactive. To resolve this issue:

  1. Go to Financials → Chart of Accounts.

  2. Locate and select the nominal code in question.

  3. Open the Settings for the selected code.

  4. Check the status of the code. If it is set to Inactive, change it to Active.

  5. Save the changes.

  6. Retry your journal line or import to confirm the issue is resolved.

Re-enabling Nominal Codes for Posting

To enable a nominal code that is visible in the Chart of Accounts but inactive for posting:

  1. Open Financials → Chart of Accounts.

  2. Click on the nominal code you want to enable.

  3. Access the Settings for that code.

  4. Ensure the code is marked as Active (via a toggle or checkbox).

  5. Save the changes.

  6. Test the transaction or import again to verify the code is now active.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage and troubleshoot nominal codes in the Chart of Accounts, ensuring smooth financial operations.
