A built nominal account is an account that's already been built into the system and has most likely had an analysis created for it and has been used by the system.
There are certain conditions that might apply to the account you are trying to delete in which case you will have to first address those before you can delete the account.
Delete a built nominal account:
Select Financials then select Chart Of Accounts.
Note: The Chart of Accounts screens opens as default in View Mode .Expand your structure until you get to the Detail Category level.
Select the check box in front of the relevant nominal account.
Note: The Action Panel automatically opens from the right-hand side of the screen.Select the Delete action card and observe the message.
If non of the delete conditions apply to the nominal accounts, it is successfully deleted.
If your category has not ye been built to be a nominal account, but you have moved it from the left-hand side panel to the right-hand isde panel, you can easily remove this by following the steps below:
Removing a non-built nominal code
Click Financials then select Chart of Accounts.
Note: The Chart of Accounts screens opens as default in View Mode .Set the screen to be in Build Mode by moving the toggle button at the top of the screen to the right.
Select the check box in front of the category in the right-hand side panel.
Click the Remove button in the middle of the screen to remove the unbuilt category.
