You can choose between different options to create the code for your sub analysis record for your selected stock. You can select between manual code entry or get the codes to be created automatically depending on your set up in Stock Options.
You will need access to the Stock Options option within the System module which is security permission driven.
The three different options are as follows:
Manual
You enter the code manually.
Concatenated
You enter the sort keys on the Sub Analysis popup window and the system will automatically create the code for you from the sort keys removing any spaces. The combined length of the sort keys cannot exceed 25 characters.
Concatenated and Justified
Similar to Concatenated but any trailing spaces are not removed. The combined length of the sort keys cannot exceed 25 characters.
Access the Sub Analysis sort keys in Stock Option.
Click System then click System Options and then click Stock Options.
Click on the Edit button on the top left-hand side of the screen and scroll to the Sub Analysis section.
On the Code Entry Method field, click on the drop-down arrow to select the relevant option.
Add in the Field Lengths and untick the Include in Code Concatenation if you don't wish to include all of the 6 user sorts which are your sort keys.
Select the relevant permissions on the Entry Method and then click Save.
