Next Generation - Edit a sales order

A guide to editing batched sales, covering the three available methods: editing from a customer, from the Outstanding Orders Enquiry, and from the Deliver Orders screen.

All sales orders are batched automatically after you have clicked on the Save button on the data entry screens and you can edit these at a later time.

Some fields may be disabled when the transactions is edited depending on the actions you have previously carried out on the orders.

There are a couple different ways that you can edit your batched orders.

Edit an order from a customer

  1. Click on Debtors then click on Customers.
    Note: All customers are displayed. You can narrow down you search using advanced filters. You can also search on the columns directly by pointing the mouse to the name of the column and click on the 3 small horizontal lines icon and choose from the available filter list, then click OK.

  2. Select the checkbox in front of the record you want to work with.
    Note: The Action Panel opens automatically from the right-hand side of the screen.

  3. Click on Outstanding Orders.
    Note: All outstanding orders and credit notes are displayed. You can narrow down your search by using the advanced filters.

  4. Select the checkbox in front of the transaction you want to work with to get access to the Action Panel.

  5. Select Edit Order card to edit your order and once you are done click Save.

Edit an order from the Outstanding Orders Enquiry

  1. Click on Selling then click on Enquiries.

  2. Click on Outstanding Orders.
    Note: All outstanding orders and credit notes are displayed. You can narrow down your search by using the advanced filters. You can also search on the columns directly by pointing the mouse to the name of the column and click on the 3 small horizontal lines icon and choose from the available filter list, then click OK.

  3. Select the checkbox in front of the transaction you want to work with.
    Note: The Action Panel opens automatically from the right-hand side of the screen.

  4. Select Edit Order card to edit your order and once you are done click Save

Edit an order from Deliver Orders

  1. Click on Selling then click Transactions.

  2. Click either on Deliver Orders.
    Note: All orders and credit notes are displayed. You can narrow down your search by using the advanced filters. You can also search on the columns directly by pointing the mouse to the name of the column and click on the 3 small horizontal lines icon and choose from the available filter list, then click OK.

  3. Select the checkbox in front of the transaction you want to work with.
    Note: The Action Panel opens automatically from the right-hand side of the screen.

  4. Select Edit Order card to edit your order and once you are done click Save.
