This article takes you through the latest installation of AOI. If you're unsure of the version you're on, check out our check version article.
For the latest AOI installation files download the zipped folder, unzip, and run Setup.
Note: The latest version of AOI currently available is 5.26
Requirements
If you run Setup.exe, you can find the full list of requirements under System Requirements for each component you install. We advise the installer to have admin privileges.
Uninstall previous versions of AOI
When upgrading AOI, all computers that have AOI must upgrade to the same version. Once you've upgraded AOI for one user, users on the older version won't be able to use AOI until you upgrade their version.
If you've already installed AOI on the computer before, you must remove the previous versions as follows:
Close all the Microsoft Office applications.
Right-click the Start icon then click Control Panel.
Click Programs and Features then select Access Office Integration (Client).
Right-click and select Uninstall.
Click Yes then follow the Uninstall Wizard.
Select Access Office Integration (Registration) then right-click and select Uninstall.
Click Yes.
Install prerequisites and programs
To install the various prerequisites and the AOI programs:
Click the version number folder.
Double-click Setup, not Setup.exe.
Click Access Products then click Access Office Integration Prerequisites.
Click Microsoft External Components then select Office Web Components.
Click the install icon or the link next to it.
Click Yes.
Select Reinstall or Repair….
Repeat the install process for the following items, unless you've already installed them:
Microsoft Office:
Select the version of Microsoft Office then install each of the installation components within the install package for that version.
If using Microsoft Office 2010, select the 32-bit or 64-bit.
If using Microsoft Office 365, select the version of Office you use in Office 365.
.NET Framework.
Access Office Integration Registration.

Register clients for AOI or create a data connection
Please refer to the article on how to register AOI - If you only need to renew the licence on a local server, follow steps 2 to 4 then finish on steps 9 to 10.

Refresh the AOI folder within the existing app data
