Update customer terms in bulk

If a large number of customers have the same terms, set up a Terms Template in the Settings area of the Debtors ledger. This template can then be assigned to multiple customer records, and any changes to it affect all those linked.

If customers need more individual terms, assign them Custom Terms by selecting the option in the Terms tab of their customer record. This lets you enter information specific to that customer within the record.

You can use Access Office Integration (AOI) to manage both templates and custom terms. AOI uses one of two templates from the Sales Ledger menu:

  1. Customer Terms - Maintains the templates and so you can quickly review and update them if required.

  2. Customer Accounts - Gives access on a customer-by-customer basis where you can update those with Custom Terms, or amend their Templates if required.

When setting up the template, make sure you include the Terms Link and Custom Terms Template fields to update changes back to Financials.

The Due Date type value shows as numeric in Excel and maps to the following Financials values:

0 — Days from invoice date.
1 — End of following month.
2 — Day of following month.
3 — Day after end of month.
