Update Customer Terms in bulk

Updated over a month ago

Where a large number of customers have the same terms then the best way to manage them is so set up a Terms Template which can be done in the Settings area of the Debtors ledger. This template can then be assigned to multiple customer records and changes made to it, will affect all those linked.

If a number of customers need more individual terms then they can be assigned Custom Terms but ticking the option in the Terms tab of their customer record. This will allow you to enter the information specific to that customer within the record rather than having to do so via a template.

It is possible to use Access Office Integration (AOI) to manage both templates and custom terms this AOI requires one of two templates found in the Sales Ledger menu:

  1. Customer Terms - Maintains the templates and so you can quickly review and update them if required.

  2. Customer Accounts - Gives access on a customer by customer basis where you can update those with Custom Terms, or amend their Templates if required.

When setting up the template it is necessary to include the Terms Link and Use Custom Terms Template fields in order to be able to update changes back to Financials.

Please note that the Due Date Type value shows as numeric in Excel and relates to the text in Financials as follows:

0 Days from Invoice Date
1 End of Following month
2 Day of Following month
3 Day after End of Month
