This error can occur because the nominal codes have not been set up the in nominal ledger mappings. In order to set this up:
Click Assets, Options, Asset Options
On the Ledger Mapping tab, click Edit
Click Insert New Record
Select the relevant nominal transaction from the list
Click Save.
It could also happen if the Start Audit Number, seen when selecting which ledger to update from, is higher than the nominal detail Audit numbers of the transactions that would create the Asset.
Use the Transaction Enquiry Screen in the Financials Ledger to identify the transactions that should generate an Asset.
Identify the lowest Audit number from the ledger transactions
Enter this into the Start Audit Number seen when selecting the ledger to update from.
Click Next and the Assets will appear as long as the codes have been set up correctly in the first set of steps.
