The trial balance checks the sum of debits against sum of credits at a point in time and is a list of balances extracted for the ledger accounts: it contains the balance of all accounts. The credit and the debits on your trial balance enquiry should match each other which helps to spot any accounting errors.
Your transactions are grouped by the major headings that build up your profit and loss nominal accounts. These major headings are major heading 1 to major heading 12. For more information, please refer to default Major Headings and Reporting Codes.
Any future periods from the default filter applied when you visit the enquiry are marked as red for visibility purposes. As default, the Year and the Period on the Advanced Filter panel will default to the current year and the current period in your database and you can remove any default filters and add in your own.
