Next Generation - Process the BACS Export and create the BACS file

Once you are ready to process the transactions on the BACS Export screen, you can follow the below simple steps to generate your BACS export file.

Note: Please make sure that you have entered bank details for your company record before you process the BACS Export to avoid any validations.

Generate the BACS file

  1. Click Creditors then click Transactions and then click BACS Export.

    • Note: You can narrow down the search by using the Advanced Filters. You can also search on the columns directly by pointing the mouse to the name of the column and click on the icon and choose from the available filter list, then click OK.

  2. On the Advanced Filter panel, select the currency, the bank analysis and the BACS export format and then click Apply.

  3. All transactions that match your filter criteria are displayed in the list.

  4. Select the checkbox in front of the transactions you wish to include in the payment run and click on Process at the bottom of the screen.

    • Note: A summary window appears, that displays the number of records and the total value of the transactions.

  5. Click Continue and enter a payment reference on the Export screen, check the date and click on Export.

  6. Enter a Payment Reference. Check the date.

  7. Click Export.

  8. If prompted to save the file, browse to where you want to save it.

  9. If there are any issues with the produced file, you can click Back to rerun the process.

  10. To mark the BACS payments as successfully exported, click Save.

    • Note: The generated BACS file is now ready for you.
