Invoice a customer in a foreign currency

To do this you will first need to check that the currency has been set up. You can then amend the currency details in the customer record.

Note: The Multi-Currency module is needed for the functionality explained below. It is a chargeable feature of the application. If you are unable to use the instructions below, then please contact your Account Manager to enable the functionality.

Check the currency is set up

  1. Go to System, Currencies

  2. Click New

  3. Add the Currency details as required

  4. Click Save

  5. On the Rates tab click the + symbol to add a new rate

  6. Click Save

Amend the currency in the customer record

  1. Go to Debtors, Customers

  2. Find Customer

  3. Go to Settings tab

  4. If you want to keep the customer as a home currency customer, but invoice in Euro then select the Any Currency tick box

  5. If you want to permanently change the currency of the customer, select the relevant currency code. Once a transaction has been entered using this currency, you can't change it again

You can now post a currency invoice for the customer.
