Future Period Posting is set for security profiles rather than individual users and can be activated by Financials Admin Users from within the System area.
Note: Access to the System Module is security profile permission driven, so you might not have access to it.
Setting up Future Period Posting Permissions
Go to Security, Future Period Posting Permissions.
Highlight the security profile to be amended, and click Edit.
Tick the Enabled box and enter the number of periods ahead required (maximum 23)
Please note that it is not possible to post beyond the end of the next nominal year irrespective of he number set above. Therefore, if the debtors ledger is already a year ahead, the farthest posting is C13 in that ledger.
Ticking the Post to Working Periods option will allow users to post to soft closed periods
Click Save to confirm the changes.
