How to export nominal transactions to Excel

Updated over 2 months ago

Data can be exported direct to Excel from within the Transaction Enquiry Screens. These can be accessed either from the Account itself, or from the Enquiries menu in the Financials module. Both routes will take you to the same screen.

The Enquiry screens offer a variety of fields to display, and search options, making them a very powerful reporting tool.

To prepare for export from a nominal account:

  1. Click Financials, Accounts

  2. In the list, select the relevant account.

  3. From the side bar, select Nominal Transactions.

  4. This will open the Enquires screen with the Nominal Code for the selected account already populated.

To prepare for export from the Enquiries menu.

  1. In Financials, click Enquiries.

  2. Select Nominal Transactions.

To return and export data.

  1. Apply/amend any search criteria using the Advanced Filter (funnel icon) panel as required. Note, using the quick filter field will not filter the results for the Export to Excel, only using the Advanced Filter will filter the results for the export.

  2. Click Apply to return the results

  3. In the top right of the middle list, click the Cog icon.

    1. Use Configure Columns to add/remove columns for the data to be exported.

    2. Click on the relevant Export to Excel option.

    3. The current limit to the option Export to Excel - All is set at 50,000 rows to protect the performance.

  4. Select the file path to save the file

  5. The file can now be opened from the bottom of the browser, or by navigating to the saved file path from above.
