Next Generation - Set up a head office and sub office relationship

To set up a trading group, you first have to set up a customer to be the head office account. To do this, you can follow our article on setting a customer to be head office.

To set up a head office and a sub office relationship

  1. Click Debtors and then click Customers.
    ​Note: All customers are displayed. You can narrow down your search by using the advanced filters. You can also search on the columns directly by pointing the mouse to the name of the column and click on the icon and choose from the available filter list, then click OK.

  2. In the Code or Name column, click the hyperlink, the underlined text.
    ​Note: The Action Panel automatically opens from the right-hand-side of the screen. You can close the panel by clicking on the arrow icon on the right-hand side middle of the screen.

  3. Click on the Edit button at the bottom of the screen to set the record into edit mode, then click the Settings tab and scroll to the Head Office section.
    ​Note: If you can see the Close button instead of the Edit button, it means that you don't have access to edit customer records.

  4. Click the drop-down for the Head Office Account field.

  5. If displayed, click the Head Office customer or click Show More to search for the Head Office customer.

  6. Click Save.
