Check whether automatic invoice numbering has been turned on.
Click System, then click Options.
Under the Transactions group, click Sales Ledger Options.
Check if automatic invoice numbering is turned on.
If you do not want automatic invoice numbering, clear this setting. If you do, leave it selected and the system generates invoice numbers automatically.
