It is not possible to delete an asset once it has a transaction associated with it. To prevent future depreciation you could either:
Dispose of the asset using a Disposal transaction,
Revalue the asset to a zero net book value via a Revaluation.
Flag it as Do Not Depreciate in the Settings area of the record.
