Support for secure email technologies such as DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM)

At the time of writing this article (with the latest release of Access Financials version being v2.4.5) Access Financials does not support the following email technologies:

  • DKIM

  • DMARC

  • MTA-STS

Access Financials does support:

  • SPF record inclusion (through DNS amendment)

There are plans to develop this area further, however there are no specific timescales as yet.

Unfortunately it is not as simple as turning on DKIM, as it effectively stops us sending emails from the application, pretending to be from the customer's mail server.

The current plan is to support SMTP smart host, which will allow Access Financials to root emails via the customer's own SMTP server.

The workaround for the time being is to use a different domain, or a sub-domain to send emails from Access Financials.At the time of writing this article (with the latest release of Access Financials version being v2.4.5) Access Financials does not support the following email technologies:
