Sales order process

Post a sales order

  1. Click Selling, then click Transactions.

  2. Click Sales Order.
    A window appears with all the customer records.

  3. Select a customer and you can see the sales order form.

  4. The fields are explained below around the form itself before starting to raise the order.

Order Versus Estimate

When you raise a new sales order, you'll get the option for either raising an order or an estimate. This can be found via the Account tab under the Header drop-down.

Status

The status can be set to control the processes that can be performed on the order.

Header

You can add a project and cost centres.

Detail Lines

Same as sales invoicing, the only difference is you can choose a type and add a quantity.

  1. Once the form is complete, click Save.
