Intercompany processing screen

To view the process of intercompany transactions:

  1. Click into System then click Utilities.

  2. Click Intercompany Processing.

This screen includes:

  • The current state of the intercompany transactions.

  • Whether the intercompany transactions was posted successfully or not.

  • Details of any issues.

  • Search controls/filter.

  • The ability to edit the intercompany posting details on transactions which haven't been posted.

  • The results can be manually cleared.

Whilst in the intercompany processing screen, the ability to enter intercompany posting details is launched from a popover.
The default values present depend on whether there's intercompany posting details saved against the transaction:

  • If intercompany posting details are saved against the transaction, the details are displayed.

  • If no intercompany posting details are saved against the transaction, the defaults for the originating Nominal Code are displayed.

Transactions with no Intercompany Processing Details

If a transaction is posted to Access Financials, which is against an account that triggers intercompany posting, but the intercompany posting details are not present, then it's not possible to automatically post an Intercompany transaction. For example, this could happen when a transaction is posted from an integrated system.

In this scenario, the transaction appears in the intercompany posting details screen with a message to indicate that intercompany posting details are missing. The intercompany posting details screen can then be used to enter the intercompany posting details and retry posting.

​Note: It is recommended that the intercompany posting details screen is checked on a regular basis and particularly before a period end.
