Post and allocate to a closed period following a period or year end

If the period has been 'Soft Closed' then users with appropriate security permissions will be able to post to, or allocate in, it. Once a period is 'Hard Closed', transactions cannot be posted or allocated to it by any user. Standard support cannot adjust or unallocate transactions in closed periods. Changes to closed periods require consultancy services, which involve reviewing the allocation history, testing proposed changes on a database copy, and implementing adjustments in the live system. If the period has been closed in error, then you can roll back your instance of Access Financials to a point before the process was run. Additionally, the period setting visible in the System Control Options is a visual indicator only and cannot be edited to revert or change the active period. This will restore all data to that point and so anything posted since will be lost.
